The Ultimate
Garden Workshop
Ditch the damp, freezing shed. Step into a highly secure, fully powered, and perfectly insulated custom workspace designed for serious makers and hobbyists.
Built For The Serious Maker
Protect Your Tools. Perfect Your Craft.
If you are passionate about your craft, a standard overlap garden shed simply will not cut it. Thin walls let in the freezing cold, condensation rusts your expensive tools overnight, and flimsy padlocks offer an open invitation to thieves.
A Pendle Pods workshop is engineered differently. We utilize house-grade timber frame construction packed with premium PIR insulation. This means zero dampness, a warm environment in the depths of winter, and a rock-solid foundation that can handle the vibration of heavy machinery.
Give your craft the respect it deserves with a dedicated, secure, and professional-grade workspace located right in your garden.
Heavy-Duty Design
Built to withstand industrial use
Uncompromising Spec
Engineered for Heavy Duty
From power requirements to floor loading, we customize the fundamental engineering of your pod to support your specific hobby or profession.
Reinforced Flooring
Heavy machinery requires a stable base. We upgrade our ground-screw foundations, use thicker floor joists at tighter intervals, and lay structural-grade 22mm flooring to handle immense point loads without flexing.
Industrial Electrics
Table saws, compressors, and welders pull serious amperage. We install high-capacity sub-boards, abundant double sockets exactly where you need them, and can provision for 16A commando sockets.
Fort Knox Security
Protecting your investment is paramount. We use high-security, multi-point locking systems on robust uPVC or Aluminum doors. We can also install high-level 'letterbox' windows to let light in while keeping prying eyes out.
Task & Natural Lighting
Precision work requires perfect light. We offer bright, durable LED batten lighting for shadow-free working at night, and can integrate roof skylights to flood your workbench with natural daylight.
Extraction & Ventilation
Dust, fumes, and paint vapors need to escape. We can frame in specific apertures for your own heavy-duty dust extraction systems, or install industrial mechanical extractor fans for a safer breathing environment.
Durable Interiors
Plaster looks great, but plywood works harder. Our Bronze tier features untreated, robust plywood walls—perfect for driving screws anywhere to mount heavy tools, pegboards, and shelving units without hunting for studs.

A workshop is a highly personal space. We adapt the layout, access points, and interior finish to match exactly how you create.

Got Questions?
Workshop Build FAQs
Technical answers for serious makers planning their new garden workspace.
Can the workshop floor support heavy machinery like a lathe or table saw?
Absolutely. For workshop builds, we specify heavy-duty floor joists set at tighter centers and utilize thicker structural OSB or plywood decking. This ensures a rigid, bounce-free foundation capable of supporting heavy woodworking machinery, metalworking tools, and workbenches without compromising the structure over time.
Can you provide a high-capacity power supply for power tools?
Yes. We run a dedicated, high-capacity armored cable from your house consumer unit directly to a new sub-board inside the workshop. We design the circuit layout around your specific needs, providing ample 13A double sockets, and can even provision for dedicated 16A commando sockets or 3-phase power setups if your machinery demands it.
Are garden workshops secure enough for expensive tools?
Security is a top priority for our workshop builds. Unlike flimsy shed doors with basic padlocks, we install premium uPVC or Aluminum doors with high-security multi-point locking mechanisms. We also suggest minimizing window size or using high-level "letterbox" windows to keep prying eyes out, whilst maintaining essential natural light.
Do I need planning permission to build a garden workshop?
In most domestic settings, a garden workshop falls under 'Permitted Development' and does not require planning permission, provided it is under 2.5m tall and intended for hobby or personal use. However, if you are running a full-time commercial manufacturing business from it, or have clients visiting, regulations may differ. We will advise you fully during your free site survey.
